Terms of Service

Last updated October 6, 2026

These terms govern your use of Luaward. By creating an account you agree to them.

Draft: a lawyer has not reviewed this text yet, and it may change before launch.

  1. 01Who runs Luaward

Luaward is operated by [operator name and registered address — to be completed before launch]. Until a contact address is published here, you can reach us through the notice form at /report, which anyone can use without an account.

  2. 02The service

Luaward lets developers protect Lua scripts, issue license keys and run key pages. We may change or retire features, and we will give reasonable notice when a change affects something you rely on.

  3. 03Your account

You are responsible for your account and everything done through it. Keep your password, passkeys and API keys private, do not share the account, and tell us if you think something leaked. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

  4. 04Acceptable use

The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these terms. In short: protect your own code, but do not use Luaward to harm the people who run it, to defraud anyone, or to attack Luaward itself. We may remove scripts and close accounts that break it.

  5. 05Your scripts

You keep all rights to your scripts. You give us permission to store, compile and deliver them to the people you authorise, and nothing more. Sources are stored encrypted, and we do not read them except to enforce these terms, to investigate a report, or when the law requires it.

  6. 06Your players and visitors

The people who run your scripts or open your key pages are your users. For their data you decide why and how it is used and we process it on your behalf, so you need your own privacy notice for them where the law asks for one. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with it.

  7. 07Plans and payment

Card subscriptions renew each month or year until you stop them; you can stop one at any time on the billing page and keep access until the period you paid for ends. Payments with PromptPay or TrueMoney buy a fixed period and do not renew. A plan code from us or from a shop adds time to your workspace. The price in your currency is shown before you pay, and prices may differ by country. When a plan lapses your scripts are paused, not deleted, and you can export your data before you decide anything.

  8. 08Refunds and withdrawal

Refund rules depend on how you pay and where you live: [refund policy — to be completed before launch]. Nothing in these terms removes a right of withdrawal or refund that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.

  9. 09Beta access

A Beta code gives you the features of a paid plan for a limited time. It can end on its date or be withdrawn, and Beta features may change or break. When access ends the account returns to the Free plan; nothing is deleted. Feedback and usage data are only sent if you choose to send them.

  10. 10Availability and liability

We work hard to keep Luaward running but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost income, lost sales or the lost value of keys. This never limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury.

  11. 11Suspension and ending

To close your account or have your data deleted, send a Privacy request through the notice form. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; when we can, we tell you why and how to ask us to look again, and we let you export your data first.

  12. 12Governing law

[Governing law and courts — to be confirmed by counsel before launch.] If you use Luaward as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live.

  13. 13Changes and language

We will tell you about material changes before they take effect, and ask you to accept again when the substance changes. Continuing to use Luaward afterwards means you accept them. Translations are for convenience; [the controlling language — to be confirmed] decides if they differ.
