Acceptable Use Policy

Luaward protects code. It is not a place to hide code that hurts people. This page says what is not allowed and what we do about it.

Draft: a lawyer has not reviewed this text yet, and it may change before launch.

  1. 01What this covers

Everything you do with Luaward: the scripts you upload, the keys you issue, the key pages you run and anything you do to the service itself. It is part of the Terms of Service.

  2. 02Malware and theft

Never use Luaward for a script that steals or tries to steal accounts, cookies, passwords, tokens, items, money or personal data, that gives someone remote control of another person's device, or that opens a backdoor. Protecting your own code is fine; hiding code that harms the person running it is not.

  3. 03Fraud and deception

No phishing, scams, fake giveaways, selling things you do not deliver, impersonating a person, a brand or us, or tricking players into giving something up.

  4. 04Illegal content and other people's rights

No content that is illegal where it is published or where the people it reaches live, including any sexual content involving children, which we report to the authorities. Do not infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights.

  5. 05Attacks and abuse of Luaward

Do not attack, overload, scan or probe Luaward, get around limits, plans or keys that belong to someone else, share one account between many people, or open many accounts to dodge limits or collect Beta codes.

  6. 06Other platforms' rules

Scripts often run inside games and services owned by others, such as Roblox, which have their own rules. Luaward is not affiliated with Roblox or any other platform. You are responsible for following the rules of the platforms your scripts run on. We act on malware, theft and fraud; we do not judge every other rule of every platform.

  7. 07How we enforce it

We do not scan your scripts as a matter of course. We act on reports, on legal orders and on abuse we see in how the service runs. We may remove a script, pause a key page or suspend an account. When we can, we tell you why and how to ask us to look again; when there is serious risk to others we act first and explain afterwards. People who repeatedly break these rules lose their accounts.

  8. 08Reporting a problem

Use the notice form at /report. It needs no account. Say where the script or page is, what is wrong, and how we can reach you. A copyright notice also needs your name, your email address, the work you say was copied, and a statement that you are acting in good faith and that what you say is accurate.

  9. 09After a notice

Every notice gets a reference number straight away. We look at it promptly, carefully and without bias, remove or disable what is clearly unlawful or harmful, and tell the script's owner, who can respond. We keep a record of notices and decisions. Knowingly false notices can lead to the sender being blocked.
